I spent 25+ years proving my judgment was good enough. Now I help other women skip that part.

I didn't start out as a confidence coach. I started out in the Australian Army Psychology Corps, then spent more than twenty years in the Australian Public Service, working in policy, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. I also trained as a primary school teacher and hold a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Graduate Diploma of Education.

Different rooms, same requirement. Make the call. Defend it. Don't flinch when someone senior disagrees.

The Part Nobody Sees

Here's what that history taught me that a psychology degree alone doesn't. Confidence isn't a personality trait some people are born with. It's built, tested and rebuilt, usually under pressure, usually while everyone is watching.

I've stood in rooms where I had to hold a position while people with more rank or more volume pushed back. I've also gone home and struggled to say what I needed to the people I love most. Professional confidence and personal confidence are not the same muscle. I had to build both, separately, the hard way.

Why Midlife Women

By midlife, most women I work with are highly capable and quietly exhausted. You've raised people, managed careers, held households together and absorbed everyone else's needs for decades. You're good at almost everything except putting yourself first, and even asking for that feels like a lot.

I'm not interested in teaching you to be louder. I'm interested in helping you trust the judgment you already have, so you stop outsourcing your decisions to everyone else's opinion.

How I Coach

I bring a structured, grounded approach shaped by policy work, psychology and two decades of watching what actually changes behaviour under pressure. No jargon, no vague affirmations. Practical tools for the exact conversations and decisions you're avoiding right now.

Who is Liza?

Hi, I’m Liza. I’m a qualified teacher, life coach and former senior leader in the Australian Federal Public Service, with over 25 years’ experience supporting people through change, complexity and high-pressure environments.

My career began in the Psychology Corps of the Australian Army, where my interest in people, behaviour and personal development first took shape. I later worked as an educator before moving into leadership roles within the Australian Public Service.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma of Education.

I’m also a proud mum to one daughter and live on the beautiful Fraser Coast in Queensland. When I’m not coaching or developing resources, you’ll often find me enjoying the coastal lifestyle or playing pickleball.

My approach is grounded, practical and compassionate. I understand that life can be complicated and that lasting change rarely comes from pressure or perfection. It comes from feeling supported, gaining clarity and taking manageable steps forward.
